Coronavirus

Wow! A post! It’s been so long.

I know no one really reads these besides myself, but I wanted to mark this time with a memory for later. The coronavirus is in full swing, and my work has sent us all home to work from home. Portland is currently not quarantined, but I have been reading about a shelter in place order coming in the next few days. I am going to venture out for the first time in about a week tomorrow, to get the studs removed from my car and an oil change. I am preparing by getting a backpack ready with some chlorine wipes, an extra mask, and two pairs of gloves. I am going to wipe down the steering wheel and shifter knob in my car before touching anything. May be overkill, but I am worried about infecting my son or wife. Other than that, I hope to avoid all contact with humans. I will likely get a ride from a worker at Subaru into the office, and back again. I have been emailing co-workers, and it sounds like a few people are still at the office, despite all the warnings. Maybe I am being overly cautious, but I don’t think so!

Here is a great video on the virus rampaging through our society:
